It has been 10 years since my last computer class at boston college. Looking back
its incredible that we did and what is available to us now. I consider myself extremely
lucky to have gone to school during a time that allowed us to do so much through the
internet. Looking back, the Immersive Education and second life programs were a huge
help in my situation. I was able to go online at my house or work and participate in
class. At a time when gas prices were so bad online classes were a great convenience.
Not only was I able to interact with my class, I was able to talk to people from
around the world. You could go anywhere in second life. If it existed in real life
most likely it existed in second life. Back then we thought the graphics were so
good it made us feel like we were really there. Just imagine how they must look now!

Everything must be new and improved. Even when second life wasn’t available online courses still were. We were able to use wonderland to meet in a virtual world. All though the graphics and options weren’t nearly as good as second life it still gave us the opportunity that students 10 years before us didn’t have. Im sure that now the graphics in wonder land out do the graphics that were once in second life. Technology is always changing and improving.
